I'd like to start this by saying that I'm still a novice photographer, so I can only imagine how much effort it would take to get an SLR to behave enough to take a picture of this beauty.

I absolutely adore the way the colors seem to change in the light, and how you can see so many different feathers. I also like the reflection in the eye, and how you can see the detail in the ridges around the eyes.

The focus on just the peacock is fantastic, and there's essentially no distraction from the background to the subject of the photograph. The watermark isn't even distracting me!

Though, I do have to wonder what the line across the bottom half is.
The Artist thought this was FAIR

Oh, you're more than welcome, dear. <:

Oh? That's odd. >: A mysterious line. I was thinking that maybe Photoshop or whichever software you use went on the fritz, but if it's not in the thumbnail, then even I don't have a clue. :)

I'd critique more of your gallery, but your work is just so phenomenal, I don't think I can come up with one hundred words for more than one picture.

:)

Yeah! And I didn't notice it when I uploaded it yesterday (I think it was yesterday?)
My photoshop probably did just mess up when I was adding the watermark, it does do that sometimes

Aww, thanks so much!
I've always wanted to critique peoples things, but Im not very good at putting my thoughts into words in things like that

I haven't had the line problem with my Photoshop, but sometimes it messes up my opacity settings for my watermarks.

You're more than welcome, though. I admit, I usually just fave and run, because usually I have nothing to say. >: I find it really hard to express my feelings in text, so...

Yeah, it's happened a couple times. And it's messed up things like opacity, like yours.

I do too! I really really want to comment, but I dont just want to say "cool" or something, because those comments don't mean as much, y'know? :?

But if you do have critique for me, please give it (even something like "you should crop this out")
Im hoping to become a professional photographer when I grow up, so I need all the critique I can get ^^

Yeah, Photoshop is terrrible like that. xD It's like... The abusive boyfriend you keep going back to.

It's kind of frustrating though, that people get frustrated when you don't comment. Sometimes I wonder if they understand the fact that there are many of us who either don't have the real time to comment (such as people being rushed) or can't think of something to say that hasn't been said already..

Haha, you too, huh? I'd like to be a professional photographer, as well. <: I just wish I could get a lens for my Olympus E-420...

:giggle: Thats so true!

Yeah, I totally agree. I often go to comment on something, and then see that the person above me has said exactly what I wanted to say. And I dont want to seem like I just copied and pasted it or something.
And Im also rushed a lot, so I don't have time. Then I bookmark the deviation to comment later, but im a bit of a procrastinator ^^;

Yep! Im hoping to work with animals, what about you?
Maybe when I get into high school next year, they'll have better photography programs.
Actually, I know they do ^^

Good luck with getting a lens!
Where have you tried to get one?

Yeaaaah. Procrastination = big problem.

I'd like to do nature photography. I'm not really a people person, but I'll do whatever it takes, really. My dream is to open my own studio. My high school really only has one photography class, not including Yearbook Production. We just have Photojournalism, which requires a 35mm SLR.

It's not that I've actually tried to get a real lens, but it's just that everywhere I look, it's over 100 dollars, and I don't have those kinds of funds right now.

For sure ^^

Thats a good dream to follow!
My high school only has one class, which is supposedly really good. It's called Media Arts

Ohh, I see :)
Im saving up for a macro lens as well!
